Are there any contraindications to omega-3?

No contraindications have been identified at the basic recommended dose (children approx. 250 mg, adults approx. 750 mg). Omega-3s in higher doses, from about 1000 mg onwards, already have a blood thinning effect and it is recommended to skip taking them for at least 3 weeks before, for example, childbirth or surgery.
