Is it necessary to store vitamin D3+K2 in the refrigerator?

Although oil are generally quite sensitive to heat, air and light and easily oxidaze when exposed to inappropriate conditions for a long time, our D3+K2 drops are mixed in organic MCT oil, which is very stable compared to other oils. The following therefore applies to them:

  • it can be stored at normal room temperatures;

  • always seal the cap well after use;
  • ideally choose a dark place where there is no direct sunlight, appliances or other exposure to heat;
  • if you are going away for an extended period of time (3 Sundays or more), we recommend storing it in the refrigerator.

Is it a problem if the vitamin D3+K2 changes consistency (solidifies)?

At lower temperatures the oils change consistency and solidify. The supplement is not devalued by this, but it becomes less user friendly and dosing accuracy becomes more difficult. If left at room temperature for a few hours, it will regain a liquid consistency. A suitable environment for preserving many products or foods would be a cool pantry, but few people have one today.
